Niagara County's Tourism industry enjoyed a record-breaking year in 2023.

For the first time, visitor spending in the county exceeded $1 billion. This represents an 11.7% increase over 2022.

"Surpassing the billion-dollar mark in visitor spending is a tremendous achievement for Niagara County," John Percy, president & CEO of Destination Niagara USA, said. "This growth positively impacts all residents, as it leads to more jobs, increased economic activity, and lower taxes for our communities. We continue to see the positive impact of the thriving tourism industry in Niagara County through new attractions, restaurants and accommodations being added to an already impressive array of offerings."

This is expected to save $1,200 per Niagara County household in taxes and more jobs for the area.
