The New York State Attorney General's Office is clearing the police officers who shot and killed a man in Buffalo.
The AG's Office of Special Investigators has released a new report on the death of 58-year-old Edward Holmes, who was fatally shot by Buffalo Police officers on Reed Street this past February after they say he fired a shotgun at them.
Holmes died at the scene.
After reviewing police body cam footage, 911 calls and interviewing neighbors and the officers involved, OSI investigators determined the officers actions that day were justified and that no charges would be filed.
Authorities reported finding a 911 call that day reporting Holmes was armed and threatening to shoot people was made from his own cell phone.
They continued the body cam footage shows that police ordered Holmes to drop his weapon several times and the officers only fired their weapons after Holmes shot at them.
