North Tonawanda lawmakers have passed a resolution that prohibits cryptocurrency mining and data processing centers from operating within the town.

The two-year moratorium was signed by the North Tonawanda Common Council.

The moratorium would also prohibit the expansion of current facilities that have been operating.
