The Buffalo Sabres have added goaltender James Reimer on a one-year, one-way contract worth $1,000,000. Reimer, 36, appeared in 25 games with the Detroit Red Wings last season going 11-8-2 with a 3.11 goals-against average and .904 save percentage.

Reimer joins current Sabres goalies Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Devon Levi on the roster. 

A fourth-round pick (99th overall) by the Maple Leafs in 2006, Reimer has a career 2.88 GAA and .910 save percentage in 510 career games with Toronto, the San Jose Sharks, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes and Red Wings. He represented Canada twice at the World Championship in 2011 and 2014.
