The NHL's free agent market is now open and the Buffalo Sabres have announced a slew of signings.

The Sabres have signed forwards Jason Zucker to a one-year, $5 million deal, Sam Lafferty to a two-year, $4 million deal and Nicolas Aube-Kubel to a one-year, $1.5 million deal.

Zucker, 32, has six 20-goal seasons under his belt during his 13-year NHL tenure. The Sabres look to upgrade their bottom-six forward group with Lafferty and Aube-Kubel, in addition to the trade for Beck Malenstyn from the Washington Capitals on June 29.

On defense, Buffalo native Dennis Gilbert is coming home on a one-year deal worth $825,000, while Jacob Bryson returns on a one-year, $900,000 deal.

The Sabres also signed forwards Brett Murray, Josh Dunne and Mason Jobst, defenseman Jack Rathbone and goaltender Felix Sandstrom to two-way deals.
