The Erie County Legislature voted 6 to 5 to approve several pay raises in the county, including that of Mark Poloncarz.
The Erie County executive, who was previously making $139,392 annually, will now make $175,000.
Erie County Sheriff John Garcia is also getting a big raise thanks to the vote. His salary previously was $101,811, but now he will make $150,000 annually.
The county comptroller will now make $140,000 annually. The position previously earned a $107,160 salary.
The county clerk position will earn $130,000 annually, up from $90,129.
County legislators will now make $65,000 annually. They previously made $42,588.
