In an effort to make sure everyone in Western New York can safely enjoy the eclipse on Monday, the International Institute of Buffalo has translated important safety information into 11 of the top different languages spoken in the region.
The IIB translated eclipse safety and preparedness information into Arabic, Bengali, Burmese, Dari, French, Pashto, Somali, Swahili and Ukrainian.
"We want to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime event safely, regardless of their first language," said Jennifer Rizzo-Choi, executive director of the International Institute of Buffalo. "This is why language access is vital for the community."
Flyers were then prepared and spread across Buffalo and Erie County to make sure as many people get the important information.
