The Buffalo Sabres will celebrate Jeff Skinner's 1,000 NHL game Tuesday night against the Washington Capitals. The teams meet Tuesday for the second time this season. The Capitals won 4-3 in overtime in the last meeting.
A pregame ceremony starts at 6:55 p.m. with special giveaways for fans who arrive a little early. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative red beanie featuring a print of Skinner’s signature. Skinner-themed giveaways will also be held throughout the night.
The Sabres will wear their black-and-red alternate jerseys for the final time this season, adorned with a commemorative jersey patch featuring the Jeff Skinner 1,000th game logo.
Buffalo is 18-19-1 in home games and 35-35-5 overall. The Sabres have conceded 226 goals while scoring 221 for a -5 scoring differential.
