The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is hiring.

The NFTA hosted an open house on Tuesday at the Niagara Falls International Airport.

Right now, the NFTA is primarily looking for bus drivers and mechanics. If you don't know how to drive a bus, they say that is not a problem — they will pay you to learn how.

"On the bus operator side, we have a seven-week paid training program,” said Chris Murphy, recruiter, NFTA. “Normally you're paying a school to get your CDL and we're paying you an hourly rate. It's over $20 an hour. And then at the end of that seven-week period, we do your road test with you. And then you'll have your CDL B. No strings attached, either."

You do not need a high school diploma, or the equivalent of one, to qualify for any of the available jobs at the NFTA.
