Erie County is preparing for the upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8, and some of the safety concerns that may come with it.
One of which is calling emergency services while everyone is using their phones at once.
"We're expecting there to be a difficult means of communication, which generally isn't a problem unless you have to call for an emergency and you can't get through because the phone lines are tied up," Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said.
Poloncarz also said there are also plans to have medical professionals in certain locations where a medical emergency may be more likely to happen.
