Thousands of people are continuing to donate $22 to the Ten Lives Club, a no-kill cat shelter in Erie County, in honor of Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass after he missed the potential game-tying field goal in their divisional round playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
In total so far, more than $360,000 has been donated on behalf of Bass.
"Leave our friend alone. He is a person. He is a human. He doesn't deserve any of the hate coming his way," said Kimberly LaRussa, Ten Lives Club PR manager. "In fact, he is a great guy who loves cats. We just wanted to put it out there. Don't bully our friend."
Since being drafted by the Bills, Bass has been a strong supporter of Ten Lives Club.
