The Southtowns are really seeing the brunt of this storm, and it's where many of the travel bans remain in effect.

"You do not want to have to get a ticket and have to deal with this later. So the best advice is to follow the bans, stay at home for whatever time is deemed necessary. Again, it will be as minimal as necessary," Gov. Kathy Hochul said during a news conference Sunday. 

 

 

"Our DPW Crews have been salting and plowing mains and residential roadways in the city. We now have 328 pieces of snow-fighting equipment on the streets of the city of Buffalo at this time. Another reason why the driving ban is important -- we do not want motorists to have any potential of colliding with heavy equipment clearing streets in our city," Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown added.
