A number of traffic changes and closures have been announced ahead of the 128th annual YMCA Buffalo Niagara Turkey Trot, which takes place in downtown Buffalo on Thanksgiving morning.
Traffic will be restricted on Delaware Ave. from Hertel Ave. to Comet Ave. between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m., Franklin St. from Court St. to W. Mohawk St. from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on Pearl St. between West Mohawk St. and Court St. (both ways) from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Delaware Ave. will have rolling closures and re-openings during the YMCA Turkey Trot.
The race starts at 9 a.m. on Delaware Avenue near Tacoma in North Buffalo, goes down Delaware, and ends at Franklin and Niagara in Downtown Buffalo. The route will be closed to traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Proceeds from the Turkey Trot will help fund YMCA programs and services. Runners are also encouraged to bring non-perishable foods to donate to help support the YMCA’s annual food drive with FeedMore WNY.
