The Buffalo Bills have signed veteran running back Leonard Fournette to their practice squad. The team also announced the release of defensive tackle Kendal Vickers in a corresponding move.
The former fourth overall pick out of LSU has spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with whom he won Super Bowl LV. He has 6,697 total yards and 41 total touchdowns in his career.
Fournette, 28, rushed for 668 yards and three touchdowns and also had 523 receiving yards with three touchdown catches in 16 games last season. In three seasons with the Buccaneers, he had 3,057 total yards and 22 touchdowns.
Fournette will join a running back depth chart led by James Cook, which also includes veterans Latavius Murray and Ty Johnson. The Bills recently placed Damien Harris on injured reserve with a neck strain and as he remained in concussion protocol.
