Members of the Bills Mafia are taking their love of the team to the water this weekend as the Mafia Boat Parade is back for its second year.

Over 200 boats are expected on the water for this year’s Mafia Boat Parade. It’s all to celebrate the season’s kickoff.

And like the Bills Mafia does, most of the proceeds go to a good cause.

"Yeah, so the vibe is you know high energy, a lot of fun a celebration basically of all things Buffalo honestly, so that's great time,” parade founder Ashleigh Dopp said. “We do a huge donation to Oishei, they very much appreciate it, but it's all things community and in Buffalo, mafia means family."

Last year the parade raised more than $4,000 and organizers hope to exceed that goal this year.

The parade kicks off 1 p.m. at Canalside. It will consist of a one hour boat ride down the Buffalo River.

If you do not have access to a boat, you can watch from the shore or head over to the after party at Canalside, from 1 – 7 p.m., which will feature food, drinks, silent auctions and more.
