Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin will throw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium on Monday.

The Yankees are honoring Hamlin and former Fordham University softball player Sarah Taffet during Hope Week, which celebrates acts of goodwill and perseverance.

To kick off the week, players and coaches will take part in CPR training to emphasize the importance of learning the life-saving skill.

Taffet, the other person being honored, has a similar story to Hamlin. She also went into cardiac arrest during a game and was saved by athletic trainers.
