Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins is helping promote community health programs in Western New York.

Dawkins and his foundation, Dion's Dreamers, worked with local groups to host the "West Side Food Farmacy Festival."

The free event helped promote the food farmacy program at D’Youville University. The food pantry, located in the university’s Health Professions Hub, offers free healthy food options to Buffalo’s West Side community.

"Anytime someone can get food and be able to feed their family is an ultimate win, because food is expensive and health food is expensive,” Dawkins said. “So, with them being able to get food to bring home it's a win-win because it’s not that they're helping their self for being here, but they're also helping someone at home."

The food pantry is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
