Sunday marks 21 years since nearly 3,000 people tragically lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
Events will be held Sunday all over Western New York to commemorate those lives lost.
The Buffalo Naval Park will host a flag of honor across America memorial ceremony Sunday morning.
Community members will read the names and biographies of 65 people lost in the tragedy - as well as those with ties to Western New York - starting at 10 a.m.
The town of Amherst is also paying respect to the victims with a 9/11 Ceremony of Remembrance. The ceremony will be held at the town's living memorial for the victims. It will honor 27 people who had a connection to Amherst and Western New York.
It starts at 9:30 a.m.
Over in Chautauqua County, the American Legion and the Chautauqua County Veterans Council will also be holding a ceremony.
This will be held at the Chautauqua County Courthouse at noon.
The Red Knights Motorcycle Club will be holding a memorial tribute at Russel Salvatore's Patriots and Heroes Park in Williamsville. Hundreds of motorcyclists and firefighters will gather at the site to pay tribute at 1 p.m.
