HAMBURG, N.Y. — The best 12 days of summer are nearly here as the 182nd year of the Erie County Fair starts Wednesday.

Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to descend on the Hamburg Fairgrounds for all the food, games, rides and exhibitions.

Fair officials say the Crazy Mouse Roller Coaster was added to its lineup of more than 70 rides and attractions.

“The Crazy Mouse is a spectacular roller coaster attraction with a unique twist,” Strates Shows manager of marketing Marty Biniasz said in a statement. “Like other roller coasters, the Crazy Mouse has sharp drops and fast turns, but what makes the Crazy Mouse unique is that as the “mouse-like” cars reach the second tier of track, they begin to spin!”

The Erie County Sheriff's Office will provide child safety information and K-9 demonstrations every day from 2 to 8 p.m., while the New York State Police will conduct daily rappelling, K-9 and rollover crash demonstrations.

There's still time for you to get tickets for performances like Trace Adkins, Nelly and comedian Gabriel Iglesias at the fair grandstand.

The Erie County Fair will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Aug. 21.
