ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Highmark Stadium will host two large concerts Wednesday and Thursday, and if you're planning to head by the stadium, be aware of traffic changes.
Erie County Sheriff John Garcia says traffic patterns before and after the concert will be similar to those for Bills' home games.
Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts take the stage at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Prior to the show, Abbott Road will be closed for traffic in front of the stadium at 1 p.m. until the end of the concert.
Then, Metallica takes the stage Thursday at 6 p.m.
Abbott Road will see a similar closure at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
After each concert, Big Tree Road will revert back to a two-lane road.
For both shows, Lots 2 and 3 and Bus & Limo lots are accessible from Route 20a, while Lots 4 and 6 are accessible from Rt. 20.
Sheriff Garcia urges all concert goers to review Highmark Stadium maps to locate the best lot in which to park and gate in which to enter.
