BUFFALO, N.Y. — ​A new program at Aspire of Western New York is helping clients get hands-on work experience, along with the means to dress for success.

Whether you’re starting a new job or still trying to land the perfect gig, having the right clothes can make a big difference.

That’s where Adapt Fashion comes in. They provide professional attire free of charge to help you look and feel your best, but also help a great cause.

It’s part of a new training program to assist people with disabilities learn valuable work skills. 

Interns take donated items and do everything from laundering to inventory, learning customer service and adaptive skills.

Organizers say it’s a two-fold tool to success as they get a chance to work with the community as well as gain expertise on entering the workforce.

“And they're really getting a great experience in business,” Toni Sullivan, Aspire WNY director of vocational services, said. “They lot of the people we support have entrepreneurial dreams of starting their own businesses and I really wanted to incorporate that piece into this."
