BUFFALO, N.Y. — The NHL trade deadline came and went Monday with the Sabres not making a single trade.
The team’s lone move during trade season was on Sunday, dealing Robert Hagg to the Florida Panthers for a sixth round pick in this year’s draft. The Sabres got Hagg in the Rasmus Ristolainen trade last summer.
Sabres General Manager Kevyn Adams says he would have moved defensemen Colin Miller if he could have, but Miller’s recent injury limited the offers.
Adams says that while no deals were made leading up to the deadline, talks he had with other teams may lead to the Sabres bringing in players they targeted this summer.
Buffalo is back in action Wednesday night when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins on TNT.
