BUFFALO, N.Y. — Local hospitals are terminating hundreds of employees that are not vaccinated now that New York State's religious exemption has expired.

Kaleida Health has let go of 200 workers.

Catholic Health, also beginning the final phase of its compliance with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, has terminated approximately 185 employees, which makes up 2 percent of Catholic Health's workforce.

Roswell Park has cut ties with four workers, and 16 others are being referred for disciplinary action.

ECMC terminated 106 unvaccinated staff members, which comes out to 3% of their employees.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in a statement says all of their staff is now vaccinated.
