BUFFALO, N.Y. — ​India Walton is now joining progressive efforts to our Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown from his position from with Democratic National Committee.

Reports say some progressive DNC members are pushing to have Brown removed for launching a write-in campaign for mayor after losing to Walton in the June Democratic Primary.

Walton claims the incumbent mayor renounced the Democratic Party in court and teamed up with Trump supporters to fuel his campaign.

“Know that I am not deterred, our campaign is still very excited, our volunteers are ready to be mobilized and active to bring truly progressive politics to Western New York,” Walton said.

The Brown for Buffalo Campaign previously said the incumbent mayor is a champion for the Democratic Party’s platform. It says he will continue to support policies addressing citizen’s everyday needs.
