ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Between the Erie County Fair and the Billy Joel concert at Highmark Stadium Saturday night, traffic in Hamburg and Orchard Park could get a little dicey.
The concert starts at 8 p.m. Saturday, but drivers should expect delays from as early as 3 p.m. until 1 a.m.
Starting at 3 p.m., the section of Abbott Road in front of the stadium will be closed to all traffic, and will remain closed until after the concert. You can get into Lots 2 and 3 from Big Tree Road, which will be open to westbound traffic after the concert, but drivers should still expect delays for the entire day and should expect to take alternate routes.
Fans can start going into the stadium at 6 p.m. Parking lots open at 4 p.m.
Remember to take a mask, as you’ll be required to wear one inside the stadium, regardless of vaccination status.
