NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The 2021 Thunder of Niagara Air Show is canceled.

The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station says that's because of the continued COVID-19 pandemic and the risk to service members, civilian employees, and families.

The annual event takes place at the Air Reserve Station in Niagara Falls.

This year, it was supposed to be held on June 19 and 20.

Organizers say they hope to host a world-class event for the Western New York community once the pandemic is fully over.
