It’s déjà vu for Sabres fans this weekend as the team hit the ice in Long Island less than 24 hours after their 5-2 loss against the Islanders.

After a scoreless first period, the Islanders scored not one, not two, but three goals against Jonas Johansson.

Perhaps the lone highlight of the game for Buffalo came in the third period when Jeff Skinner scored his long awaited first goal of the season.

Defenseman Collin Miller also was able to hit the back of the net, bringing the Sabres within one.

But the Islanders managed to notch two more goals to take the game 5-2 yet again. This is the team’s seventh loss.

The Sabres will now head to Philadelphia Tuesday where they hope to finally get one past the Flyers goalies, who have shut them out for three straight games.
