Buffalo Bills players are teaming up with Mayor Byron Brown's office to better the community.
A focus of the three new endeavors will be informing under-represented and under-resourced communities.
Players will be using part of their week one checks to pay for the internet access for more than 4,000 homes with students.
This will allow them to be better prepared for the academic year.
The team is also committed to encouraging residents to take part in the Census and especially the election on November 3.
"Anything that you want changed in America, you have to go out and practice that liberty of voting. Our ancestors fought long and fought hard for that right, women have fought long and fought hard for that right. So I think it's something that the youth and a lot of Americans need to take up on that opportunity,” said Bills defensive end and captain Jerry Hughes.
The players became involved with Mayor Brown's office due to his commitment to police reform.
