Erie County Democrats have officially endorsed John Flynn to run for a second term as district attorney.

The party says it appreciates all the work Flynn has done in the last three years.

Flynn said to him it's not about politics, it's about justice.

"I don't concern myself with politics,” he said. “Politics are not allowed in my office. I represent the values of being the chief law enforcement officer of Erie County. I represent the values of being the head prosecutor of Erie County."

Flynn said he'll truly know how well he's done in the role based on what voters decide in November.
