Demolition is underway in West Seneca where the Seneca Mall once stood 25 years ago.

Crews were at work taking down the Kmart, which is one of the remaining buildings in a mostly barren lot.

Local leaders in West Seneca have called the property an eyesore in the past, claiming the prime location is being wasted.

They say with how many cars pass by the property daily, people from West Seneca would be happy with nearly any development to come to the spot in the future.

There are currently no official plans for what to do with the property as of now.
