More and more drivers are rushing to get their vehicles ready for the snow ahead of winter's wrath. But is your vehicle prepared?
Dunn Tire Regional Manager Michael Fischer said most customers are coming in to get their tires checked.
“When it gets cold out, tires will actually lose pressure so we want to make sure the pressure is completely filled in the tires,” said Fischer, who also recommends changing out tires for the winter.
What Kind of Tires Are Best For Winter?
- “New” All Season Tires
- Snow Tires
- Four Season Tires
Fischer says it's also important to check your battery level now.
“In our climate, batteries usually last between five and seven years. So you want to have it checked for not just the voltage, but the actual cold cranking amps and the reserve capacity."
What Else Should You Have Checked?
- Brakes
- Tire Tread
- Fluids
- Wiper Blades
- Steering Suspension
- Wheel Alignment
With an increase in customers, it’s recommended that you make an appointment to get your car serviced.
“We also offer an overnight service where you can drop your car off at select locations before it close the night before and pick it up in the morning, so we’ll work on it while you’re sleeping,” Fischer said.
