The finalists for the 43North business competition have been announced.

Fifteen participants pitched their ideas in front of more than three dozen investors at Seneca One Tower on Tuesday, but only 10 are moving on to Wednesday's finale.

The finalists are:

  • Bridge-Care
  • Circuit Clinical
  • GroupRaise
  • HotelsByDay
  • Peanut Butter
  • Pocket-Suite
  • Rally
  • Robo-dub
  • Strayos
  • WhoseYourLandlord

They focus on a variety of things including artificial intelligence and apps that can help make restaurant or hotel reservations.

But of those 10, eight will soon be moving their headquarters to Buffalo.

"The chance to operate here in brand new space in the Seneca One Tower. They will have mentors and advisers available to them. This is a company that stands ready to anchor and accelerate the growth of these companies when they come here,” said Alex Gress, 43North president.

The first-place prize for the winning pitch is $1 million in investment. The seven runner-up companies will win $500,000 each.
