AUSTIN, Texas — After several rounds of storms in the past few weeks, Austin city officials are warning about the dangers currently surrounding Shoal Creek.

The Austin Watershed Protection Department reported more movement at the landslide near Shoal Creek Boulevard and 24th Street.
Officials believe the landslide happened between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. It caused debris to fall into the creek.
Since the area is considered an enhanced flood risk, crews are monitoring it throughout the weekend.
If you plan to hike in the area this weekend, officials urge you to use the sidewalk on Lamar Boulevard as a detour to the Shoal Creek Trail.
