The Duff family is bringing their famous wings to Elmwood Avenue.

The new restaurant will take over the old Casa Di Pizza location.

The proposal for the new site was approved by the Buffalo Planning Board Monday.

The grandson of the original Duff says they'll start serving wings to downtown crowds in 2020.

"My last name is Duff. This is actually going to be our second family-owned store outside of the Sheridan Drive location. So it's important for us to make sure that we get this location right and I think that we want to make sure that it's an authentic of a Duff's experience as you are possibly going to get,” said Joe Duff, Duff's Elmwood Ave. co-owner.

The Duff family will partner with the owner of the Dick Road franchise to finalize plans for the newest restaurant on Elmwood.
