The woman arrested for allegedly bringing a loaded gun through security at the Buffalo Niagara International airport is a flight attendant.
NFTA Transit Police arrested Crystal Reven early Thursday morning after the firearm was found in her carry-on luggage at the TSA checkpoint.
She was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and given an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.
Transit Police Investigative Services Unit and the FBI are investigating.
The 40-year-old is from Pearland, Texas and is a flight attendant for Southwest.
The airline released a statement Friday saying “We are aware of an investigation into a Flight Attendant’s journey through Buffalo-Niagara International Airport this week. We are working alongside appropriate authorities in support of gathering more information.”
