Mothers in Buffalo are demanding equal rights for their children by taking to the streets.
The Mother's March for Justice began at the corner of Genesee and Moselle streets on Saturday and ended at MLK park.
What began as a protest for mothers who have lost children to police brutality has become much larger.
Organizers say Saturday's march wasn't just for police reform, but equality in all aspects of life.
"I think this is a great opportunity for white America to understand what we've been dealing with for over 400 years," said protester Chandra Thomas. "And we need our counterparts to have our backs and speak up because we've suffered it for so long. We know what we deserve and all we want is equal treatment."
Protesters are hoping for changes on any level, whether it is local, state, or federal.
