Exactly one year after a triple homicide shook the city of Buffalo, the Department of Justice announced an indictment: six people have been charged in connection to three burned bodies.
Two men have been indicted in the death of three people from Florida, two of which were found in a burned-out car and one in a fire pit.
U.S. Attorney James Kennedy says this is part of a larger narcotics conspiracy.
Few can forget surveillance video from September of last year when then 3-year-old Noelvin Colon is seen running from a burning vehicle alongside two men at a warehouse on Tonawanda Street in Buffalo.
Noelvin was later found alone on the porch of a home a mile away.
Authorities say it is from that footage they were able to gather a lot of information for their investigation.
The Department of Justice has identified those men as Jariel Cobb and Deandre Wilson, who are being charged with the murders of Miguel Colon, Nicole Plaud, and Dhamyl Audiffred.
The remains of Noelvin’s parents, Miguel Colon and Nicole Plaud, were found in their burned vehicle while Audiffred’s burned body was found in a pit behind a home on Box Avenue.
Cobb and Wilson along with four other people are being charged with conspiring to sell cocaine.
