A man charged with murder is out on bail.

Shane Casado is accused of shooting and killing his former girlfriend Rachael Wierzbicki outside a home on Edson Street in Buffalo back in November.

He was indicted on a second-degree murder charge in February.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says he was remanded without bail at that time, but the defense asked for another bail hearing.

That new hearing happened Wednesday, and state Supreme Court Justice John Michalski granted a $175,000 bail cash or bond.

The DA’s office says Casado was able to post bail.

The next court date is scheduled for next week.
