BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man has admitted to trying to run down police officers with his car during an ice storm.
Kenneth Pringle, 24, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted assault in state supreme court Thursday.
The Erie County DA's Office says on December 16 of last year, officers tried to pull over Pringle for an expired inspection sticker. That's when he drove off-leading police on a chase through Buffalo.
When he got stuck behind traffic on Best Street and Masten Avenue, officers began to approach his car.
Pringle turned toward the officers and drove directly at them. They dove over a snowbank to avoid being hit.
He led police on another chase, and was eventually arrested when running into his home on Dodge Street.
Pringle faces up to 15 years in prison when he's sentenced next month.
