Health officials say COVID-19 cases in Erie County are on the rise again.
According to the Erie County Department of Health, the county has moved to the CDC's medium COVID-19 community level. That's defined as 200 cases per 100,000 residents over seven days.
The health department reported 219 new cases per 100,000 residents over the past seven days.
There were 443 new positive cases on Tuesday. That's an increase of 89 cases from the day before.
Case totals are also up in Niagara County. Health officials there confirmed 282 new cases this past week.
