State Assemblyman Joseph Giglio and his wife both have the coronavirus.
The assemblyman tested positive after experiencing mild flu-like symptoms.
Giglio says he has been working remotely for the past several weeks and has not attended any public events, but still believes it is important to be transparent with his colleagues and the people he serves.
He says he will continue to go about his legislative duties remotely, as he and his wife self-isolate at home.
Giglio's assembly district, the 148th, covers Cattaraugus and Allegany counties, and parts of Steuben County.
