There are five Erie County nursing homes reporting COVID-19 positivity rates above 14%, one of which is at 70%, according to data provided by the county to the Erie County Legislature.
The data from the Erie County Department of Health was gathered per the request of the Erie County Legislature on November 5. Data may include “persistent positives,” and repeat COVID-19 tests may be included in the data, according to the county.
Of the five nursing homes with high positivity rates, the Eden Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is reporting 70% positive cases for the week ending November 21.
The other four nursing homes are the Autumn View Health Care Facility, Garden Gate Health Care Facility, Greenfield Health & Rehab Center, and Harris Hill Nursing Facility, LLC.
Those facilities are reporting positivity rates of 14.3%, 18.5%, 17.5%, and 14.1%, respectively.
Reported cases may not include all Erie County residents and may include some residents from outside of the county, according to the department of health. Additionally, the county says the repots may not include information about residents who were transferred to a different facility or discharge home.
