With back to school around the corner, the city of Buffalo will host its annual crayon drive.

Instead of tossing old or broken crayons, you can have them recycled and turned into new crayons for a new generation of students. Plus, it keeps the waxy chemicals that crayons are made of out of landfills.

From Aug. 19-28, donations can be dropped off at:

  • Buffalo Office of Assemblymember Rivera — 65 Grant St., Buffalo
  • Hamburg Office of Assemblymember Rivera — 40 Main St., Lower Back Entrance, Hamburg
  • The Belle Center —104 Maryland St., Buffalo
  • Village of Hamburg Youth Center — 258-192 Prospect Ave., Hamburg
