The annual Conklin Fair is set to celebrate its milestone 50th anniversary later this week and organizers are ready to celebrate with fun, family-friendly activities.

The fair will be held at the Conklin Fairgrounds this Thursday through Saturday.

The traditional first responders parade will not be happening at the fair this year. Instead, there will be an opening ceremony Thursday night to commemorate the fair's 50-year history and pay tribute to volunteers who have served in their communities.

The fair will also feature rides, musical entertainment, a car show, a cupcake baking contest and even an ice cream eating contest!

It will wrap up Saturday night at 10 p.m. with a fireworks display.
