The Broome County Library is now more accessible than ever.

The county recently purchased computers, keyboards, and desks geared toward the visually impaired.

The upgrades were made possible with a $25,000 grant came from Tioga Downs.

The computers have extra-large, back-lit keyboards with screen magnification and text-to-speech.

"Whether it's our parks, whether it's our buildings, and whether it's our library, we're trying to make it more inclusive for people of all abilities to enjoy all of the great things we have to offer," said Broome County Executive Jason Garnar.

The library also purchased an accessible, automatic door and sensory toys for the children’s section.
