SUNY Corning Community College is announcing some cuts.

The college said these cuts are not the first of their kind. Before COVID-19, there was already a budget deficit. Earlier this year, the college made cuts that discontinued several academic programs.

Since then, they can only expect less aid from the state next year, as well as a decline in fall enrollment.

Plans to save money include reducing employee hours and eliminating positions.

Word is yet to come on what those positions will be or how many.
