Some families might be left homeless after a section of a Norwich apartment building collapsed Wednesday, leading to an emergency evacuation and road closures.
Crews are still working to clear up the mess on Mitchell Street. No one was hurt when that wall collapsed.
An engineer is working on a report of the cause of structural failure and city officials will use that data to decide if the building needs to be demolished.
Mitchell Street between Merrill and Silver, plus the southern end of State Street, will be closed until further notice.
