This weekend on In Focus, we’re opening a conversation on tackling food insecurity across upstate New York.
JoDee Kenney was joined by state Sen. Michelle Hinchey. Hinchey spoke about how New York has food deserts across the state, not just in urban areas.
JoDee also sat down with Tom Nardacci, executive Director of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. He spoke about how every community in the state faces food insecurity.
Finally, JoDee talked with Aldo Juárez-Romero, deputy director and COO at Sycamore Collaborative. The Schenectady County based organization has been serving the hungry there for more than 50 years. Juárez-Romero spoke about how critical mobile pantries became during the pandemic.
