We are bringing efforts to combat food insecurity across upstate New York into the conversation this week on In Focus. JoDee Kenney talked with Aldo Juárez-Romero, deputy director and COO at Sycamore Collaborative.
The Schenectady County-based organization has been serving the hungry there for more than 50 years. Juárez-Romero spoke about how critical mobile pantries became during the COVID-19 andemic. Currently, the Sycmore Collaborative pantry serves 150 people on a daily basis. It also serves eight different elementary schools Monday through Thursday.
