Good evening, Central New York. We're wrapping up the day for you with the most important stories you need to know and your weather outlook.

Your Weather Planner

Our next weather maker brings a round of showers to the region tonight into Saturday. For most it's just rain, but a wintry mix is expected for the northern Adirondacks and far North Country where manageable snow and significant ice totals will be found.

A front will stall over the region this entire weekend. At the moment, it looks like steadier shower chances are highest north of the thruway on Saturday then increase throughout the region Sunday and Monday.

Saturday's high temperatures may range from the 20s and 30s near the Canadian border to the 60s and 70s along the Southern Tier.

Monday will be mild ahead of a cold front that brings another shot at rain. Behind the front, it turns chillier and quieter Tuesday with highs in the 30s.
